KEEP MOVING

We believe in the freedom of movement

Our Purpose

Inspiring the confidence in everyone to move more

Degree believes in the power of movement to transform lives. But even that simple act – freedom of movement – is being restricted for many. The COVID-19 crisis has led to the closure of recreation centers and sports programs nationwide, making it even harder for many who depend on these safe spaces for their overall physical and mental health and disproportionately impacting communities of color.

Degree believes that nothing should hold you back. That's why we are teaming up with Kevin Durant and the Kevin Durant Charity FoundationOpens in new window(KDCF) to donate $1 million to sports programs and rec centers in some of America’s hardest hit communities. These grants, distributed through Laureus USA, ensure more than 100,000 kids can #KeepMoving. These programs will continue to challenge kids to move and provide mentorship, coaching, and support as they have always done now, while also keeping them funded for the future.

To better serve youth in underserved communities, Laureus supports the growth of organizations that are using sport as a tool for social change.

Row New York was founded on the premise that the discipline of competitive rowing combined with rigorous academic support yields powerful returns. Rowing instills in athletes a strong work ethic, persistence, and grit. This is particularly evident in the classroom, where focus and determination produce higher grades and college acceptance rates. In addition, delayed gratification and the emphasis on endurance that rowing demands means our rowers don’t just build strong resolves––they learn that collaboration and cooperation are critical to success.
